The Orange version will accompany you on outdoor excursions. 
This No. 08 comes with a 2.5 mm thick stainless steel blade, a 3.5 cm serrated area, which is very high performance for tear-free cutting of natural or synthetic ropes, and a de-burler for 4 to 10 mm shackles. The handle is resistant to water, shock and extreme temperatures. It is equipped with a 300 m range whistle.

The stainless steel used in OPINEL blades is an optimized grade to ensure high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance. 
The blade has excellent cutting edge and high abrasion resistance (wear), enabling it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before needing to be resharpened. Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel has the advantage of being maintenance-free under ordinary use. However, it can reach its limits when it is put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergents, etc.).
Handle
The handle is injected with fiberglass-filled polyamide, which provides high resistance to impact, water, and extreme temperatures (-40° C to +80° C). Integrated tongue in the bottom of the handle, without a ball works in all weather conditions. With a power output of 110 dB, it has a range of about 300 meters open areas.
Safety ring
Invented in 1955 by Marcel OPINEL, the Virobloc safety ring is featured on all lockable knives from No. 06 onward. Carved from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (use safety), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport safety).

The duration of the guarantee is 24 months
The manufacturer can extend the guarantee at its discretion
To enforce the guarantee it is necessary to keep the invoice or the sales document
The guarantee is recognized as long as the product itself is used correctly, in compliance with its intended use and as provided in the attached technical documentation. Used items (for example "Used Bikes") are covered by a 12-month warranty instead of 24 months.
