The K2 Standard is an entry-level snowboard that raises the bar above the competition and is the perfect first board to instill confidence in new riders and keep them coming back for more. The Standard snowboard is built on a directional twin shape complemented by our Catch-Free™ Tune. This makes learning both regular and alternative snowboarding as easy as possible because the snowboard will feel identical in both directions. The Standard features our Rocker profile, flat between the bindings and swinging just outside the bindings, for extremely easy turn initiation and edge release. Easier release equals fewer falls, less time for breaks, more time on the mountain, and faster progression. Inside, the K2 Standard's core is made of sustainably harvested quaking aspen wood, offering tolerant flexibility while remaining playful for popping olly or hitting your first jumps. Biaxially braided fiberglass hugs the poplar core, giving the board the edge grip needed to handle higher speeds as you advance and explore new terrain. An Extruded 2000 base completes the package, tolerant, durable, and always ready for another ride.
