Details

Daiwa's lightest ever spinning reel: the new Airity features simply outstanding performance and build quality. The body is a monocoque type (MQ) constructed entirely of Magnesium to offer unparalleled structural rigidity and lightness parameters.

The 23 Airity was developed according to the new Airdrive Design construction concept for the rotor, spool, bow and spindle, borrowed from the brand new top-of-the-line Exist. The rotor in particular, constructed of Zaion, is designed to minimize weight and rotational inertia while maintaining even greater strength than "standard" Air Rotors. The ATD-L clutch is also of the latest generation and has unprecedented sensitivity and precision performance: it reacts even more smoothly and softly to initial stress than traditional ATDs, then settling quickly but always gradually to the set brake. A key feature especially for those TECNICAs that require the use of thin and very thin wires, such as trout area, light spinning and bolognese.
