Enjoy excellent comfort and advanced support with the GEL-KAYANO® 27 PLATINUM running shoe. Updates for this franchise focus on creating a smoother, smoother ride design with a more efficient deadlift. Part of our PLATINUM collection, this shoe is also accented with shiny components throughout the design. The redesigned mesh upper helps keep feet cool, reduces shoe weight and improves support. In addition, the external TPU heel counter helps the foot stay more secure while creating a more comfortable foothold. At half distance, the foot should stop pronating and resupinating for an efficient deadlift. To aid this natural movement, we incorporate DYNAMIC DUOMAX® technology to help support the foot and increase stability for runners whose feet roll too much inward (over pronation). The midsole is also layered with a combination of our FLYTEFOAM® Propel material and GEL® technology cushioning to provide runners with a softer landing and energized rebound. SPACE TRUSSTIC ? technology is positioned under the arch of the shoe, which provides stability and reduces overall weight to promote a smoother transition from foot strike to deadlift. The added stability is complemented by deeper flex grooves on the forefoot that help isolate the initial impact to force a softer feel upon impact. These grooves, followed by a smoother deadlift, also allow the shoe to move more naturally with the foot. Finally, a large section of reflective materials in the back of the foot helps keep runners visible while running in low light conditions. The GEL-KAYANO® 27 PLATINUM model is an excellent choice for both competitive and non-competitive runners looking for an everyday trainer that combines comfort and support.
